Week One: Preparing the Soil

Embracing & learning how meaningful simple decisions can be.

Sometimes we need to distract our overwhelmed mind in order to calm down. Sometimes we need simple instructions to help lower anxiety levels.

We will work on a leaf pattern in our weekly exercise. The repetitiveness of an action has self-soothing qualities and induces a relaxation response, reduces heart rate & respiration related to stress reduction.

It also aids in entering a state of flow, soothing our mind and silencing intrusive thoughts.

Using friendly, basic arts supplies and instructions, through conscious drawing, we can achieve relaxation.

This phase helps us… ~Let go of perfectionism ~Slowly ease the overwhelming feeling of not being in control. ~Tap into building confidence & practicing patience.
